Production of construction materials in Azerbaijan up 84%

In January 2022, Azerbaijan produced construction materials worth 62.3 million manats, an increase of 85.1% compared to January 2021, Report informs, referring to State Statistics Committee.

The country produced 219,500 tons of cement last year, which is 6% less than in the first month of 2020.
In addition, 4,500 tons of asphalt were produced (+32.4%).

Production of bricks increased by 44.4% to 54,000 cubic meters, gypsum by 18.2% to 1,300 tons, construction lime decreased by 9.4% to 2,900 tons, blocks and bricks made of cement, artificial stone, or concrete rose 3.5 times to 11,200 tons.

In January of this year, the production of prefabricated concrete structures in the country grew by 69.4% to 6,100 cubic meters, processed marble, travertine, alabaster, and goods made from them rose by 4.4 times to 1.388 million tons, and ready-mixed concrete by 41.7% to 191,400 tons.
