Azerbaijan starts selling polypropylene to Bulgaria, Switzerland

In 2021, Azerbaijan exported 84,964.45 tons (+9.6%) of polypropylene in primary forms worth $ 120.027 million (+86.2%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
In the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 55,369.75 tons (+95.1%) worth $ 82.219 million (+3.2 times) to Russia, 14,907.5 tons (-49.5%) worth $ 16.605 million (-25.8%) to Turkey, 9,040.5 tons (+13.9%) worth $ 13.515 million (+93.5%) to Kazakhstan, 2,913.75 tons (-55.5%) worth $ 3.782 million (-17.5%) to Ukraine, and 1,195.5 tons (+25.5%) worth $ 1.823 million (+2.2 times) to Georgia.
After a one-year break, supplies were resumed to Lithuania and Poland, and after a year and two months to Turkmenistan. Last year, for the first time in 10 years, Azerbaijan sold polypropylene to Bulgaria and Switzerland.
During the reporting period, 9,012.31 tons of polypropylene in primary forms worth $ 14.154 million was imported to the country, which is 29.7% and 4.7% less than the previous year, respectively.
Azerbaijan imported 5,460 tons (+11.59%) of polypropylene in primary forms worth $ 9.183 million (+63.84%) from Korea, 1,960.85 tons (-51.1%) worth $ 2.824 million (-34.4%) from Iran, 1,224 tons (-42.3%) worth $ 1.535 million (-34.3%) from Saudi Arabia, 120 tons (-57.5%) worth $ 197,580 (-46.32%) from Russia, and 130 tons (-90%) worth $ 134,550 (+92.1%) from Turkmenistan.
