Levon Aronian officially becomes US representative

Armenian chess player Levon Aronian will now represent the US Chess Federation.

According to Report, the 39-year-old grandmaster was named a US athlete in the rating of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) for December.

Aronia's information on the FIDE website has also been changed.

Levon Aronian has previously announced his decision to move to the United States. The experienced grandmaster attributed his decision to the state's lack of attention to chess.
