Azerbaijani wrestler crowned European champion

The capital of North Macedonia, Skopje, is playing host to the European wrestling championship among athletes below 23 years of age.
Report informs that Azerbaijan's freestyle wrestler Jabrayil Hajiyev, who competed in the weight category of 70 kg, has claimed gold.
Hajiyev made his way to the competition final by upsetting opponents from Georgia, Switzerland, Russia. In his last bout, the Azerbaijani athlete beat Moldova's Gramez and won European U-23 championship gold for the first time in this sporting career.
The Azerbaijani team also claimed one silver and two bronze medals.
