Azerbaijani athlete claims gold medal in Dubai

Azerbaijani junior athlete Gajar Mirza, living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), won a gold medal at the Muaythai Youth Championship in Dubai.
The State Committee for Work with the Diaspora told Report that the 15-year-old athlete successfully competed in a total of 5 fights in the tournament and won.
Gajar Mirza was born on May 11, 2006 in Baku. The athlete, who has been involved in swimming, wrestling, and taekwondo since childhood, moved to the UAE at the age of 10 due to his parents' work. There, Mirza joined the Tiger kickboxing club and preferred to engage in Muaythai and kickboxing. The athlete, who repeatedly participated in competitions, won a silver medal at the 2019 Muaythai Youth Championship.
