Trial continues for ethnic Armenians accused of war crimes

A court hearing is underway in the criminal case of ethnic Armenians accused of committing war crimes, Report informs.

The trial is being held at the Baku Court Complex, presided over by Judge Zeynal Aghayev of the Baku Military Court.

In the previous session, testimonies were heard from victims involved in the case.

The defendants are charged with crimes against peace and humanity, including war crimes committed by the Republic of Armenia, its armed forces, and illegal armed groups of the self-proclaimed "Nagorno-Karabakh Republic" in Azerbaijan's formerly occupied territories.

The charges include launching an aggressive war, genocide, forced displacement, persecution, torture, military looting, and other unlawful acts against the Azerbaijani state and people.
