Landmine blast injures one in Azerbaijan's Aghdara district

A landmine explosion occurred in the Sugovushan settlement in Azerbaijan's liberated Aghdara district, according to a joint statement issued by the Prosecutor General's Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Mine Action Agency of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), Report informs.
The statement said that Maharramov Mahir Abdulla oghlu, a resident of the Hajigervend village of Aghdara district, born in 1982, sustained an injury to his right leg after stepping on an anti-personnel landmine in an area not cleared of mines on the former line of contact.
An investigation has been launched into the incident by the Tartar District Prosecutor's Office.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General's Office once again urged citizens to follow safety regulations, heed mine-warning signs, and avoid unfamiliar or potentially dangerous areas.
