Kamran Aliyev: Azerbaijan has always been supporter of peace

Azerbaijan remained a supporter of peace and diplomatic resolution even when its territories were under Armenian occupation, Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev said at the international conference "Guarding Sovereignty: The Status of the Prosecutor's Office in the Constitution" in Baku, Report informs.

"Despite four UN resolutions recognizing the occupation of Azerbaijani lands and demanding their unconditional liberation, the Armenian side has not returned the captured territories. Azerbaijan, as always, remains a supporter of peace today," the Prosecutor General said.

Aliyev noted that the initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia at the White House is a clear example of the country's commitment to the peace process.

"This document represents not only a new page in relations between the two states, but also a historic turning point in ensuring sustainable peace and security in the South Caucasus, as well as the further economic development of the region. At the same time, this document is a recognition of Azerbaijan's sovereignty on a global scale," the Prosecutor General emphasized.
