Vusal Gasimli: AI to radically transform national economy

Artificial intelligence has the potential to radically transform Azerbaijan's society and national economy, Vusal Gasimli, director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC), said at the presentation of the textbook "InsurTech" ("Insurance Technologies"), developed by CAERC jointly with the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, Report informs.

According to Gasimli, the rapid development of technology is encompassing all sectors of the economy. He noted that the transition to so-called agent-based artificial intelligence, which has the potential to transform not only the technology sector but also society as a whole and people's lifestyles, is particularly noticeable today.

The head of CAERC emphasized that it is impossible to remain on the sidelines amid these large-scale transformations, which is why the decision was made to develop a textbook on AI with the participation of relevant experts. "The goal is to combine theoretical knowledge and practice," he added.
