Cyberattacks on Azerbaijani government bodies decreased by 25% in August

In January-August 2025, Azerbaijan's Special Communication and Information Security State Service identified 612 indicators of compromise (IOCs) targeting government agencies, Report informs, citing the official data from the agency.
This figure marks a 9% decrease compared to the same period last year.
Out of the total cyber threats detected, 211 were uncovered through internal investigations, while 401 were identified and blocked as a result of incident reports from government institutions.
In August alone, 39 cyberattacks were detected, down 25% compared to August of the previous year.
In total, 1,070 cyberattacks on state institutions were recorded in 2024. Of these, 550 were identified via internal investigations and 520 through the analysis of incidents reported by government bodies.
