Azerbaijan and the United States are creating new opportunities for cooperation in digital transformation, Huseyn Huseynov, Advisor to the Minister of Economy, stated at the Technovation Forum in Baku under the theme Resilience and Energy Transformation, Report informs.
The official highlighted that the US has been one of Azerbaijan's most reliable economic partners for more than 30 years: "During this period, our countries first built strong cooperation in the energy sector, and now increasingly in innovation, technology, and digital transformation. The Azerbaijan–US Economic Dialogue held last week once again demonstrated the scale of opportunities ahead. Alongside ongoing cooperation in energy and critical minerals, the two sides are advancing toward a new generation of partnerships in high-performance computing systems, artificial intelligence, cloud technologies, digital infrastructure, and innovation. Our collaboration with leading technology companies such as Dell Technologies, Oracle, Microsoft, Amazon, and others shows that relations between our countries have moved from traditional investment partnership to a strategic technological stage."
He added that these initiatives are not isolated projects: "Together, they form the building blocks of a modern digital economy capable of generating higher productivity, creating better jobs, attracting investment, and enhancing global competitiveness. At the same time, we are focused on ensuring that digital transformation delivers measurable results for business. Through Industry 4.0 initiatives, Azerbaijani enterprises are adopting advanced technologies, modernizing production processes, and increasing operational efficiency. For example, the recent recognition of SOCAR Carbamide Plant by the World Economic Forum as Azerbaijan's first Digital Lighthouse is strong evidence of what can be achieved when innovation translates into industrial performance."
