Russian oncologist Mikhail Myasnyankin, in an interview with Channel Five, explained why cancer is most often detected at the last stage, Report informs.
“The problem with ‘neglected’ patients is that they consciously ignore painful symptoms for many years. These people would rather swallow a pill than admit that something is wrong with them,” said the specialist.
Myasnyankin recommends undergoing medical examination on time and paying attention to various symptoms. “The first signs of the disease appear even at the stage when there is a chance to escape,” the doctor said.
“Of course, there are also aggressive types of tumors. But it is also possible to diagnose and treat them when they are in an early stage,” the doctor summed up.
