A toothache may indicate an impending heart attack, said Alka Patel - GP and Lifestyle Medicine Physician, Report informs, referring to the Express.
She said that such pain should cause particular alertness in people who haven’t previously experienced dental problems.
"Heart pain isn’t just felt in your chest – it can be felt in your teeth and jaw. This is due to the location of the vagus nerve, which runs all the way from the brain to the heart, lungs, and gut, passing through the jaw on its way," the doctor added.
