Azerbaijani doctors take part in NATO exercises in Bulgaria

The NATO emergency response exercise BULGARIA 2025, organized by the Euro-Atlantic Disaster Response Coordination Centre and the Bulgarian Interior Ministry, has taken place in the Bulgarian city of Montana, Report informs. 

Representatives of NATO member and partner countries took part in the maneuvers. Azerbaijan was represented by a delegation of the Medical Territorial Units Management Association (TABIB) and the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

TABIB deployed two fully equipped ambulances and medical teams in the exercise. They were based in a specially created camp and participated in all stages of the simulation.

The exercise aimed to strengthen international cooperation in eliminating the consequences of natural and man-made disasters, practicing the interaction of civil and military structures during earthquakes, floods, fires, and chemical incidents.

Medical teams from Azerbaijan provided first aid to victims of the earthquake scenario and worked together with international colleagues as part of mobile medical services. It is noted that Azerbaijan was represented at the exercises by the largest medical team among all participants.
