Active COVID cases exceed 8,000 in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has recorded 996 new coronavirus cases over the past day, the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers told Report.

Meanwhile, 202 people recovered from the infection, and five patients succumbed to the deadly pathogen.

Overall, the country has reported 346,878 cases of infection, 333,694 recoveries, and 5,039 deaths since the onset of the pandemic. At present, 8,145 people are receiving treatment.

Azerbaijan has conducted 4,070,700 COVID-19 tests over the past period, including 10,465 today.
