5 more drivers drop out of race for pole position at Azerbaijan Grand Prix

The second qualifying session for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has concluded, Report informs.

Five more drivers have dropped out of the race for pole position: Fernando Alonso (Spain, Aston Martin), Lewis Hamilton (Great Britain, Ferrari), Gabriel Bortoleto (Brazil, Sauber), Lance Stroll (Canada, Aston Martin), and Oliver Bearman (Great Britain, Haas).

Ten drivers will be competing in Q3.

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen set the fastest time in Q2.

Haas driver Oliver Bearman has hit the safety barrier with a rear wheel during the second qualifying segment at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Report informs.

The car stopped as a result, and Bearman abandoned the car.

The second qualifying segment is currently underway.

The first qualifying session for the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has concluded in Baku, Report informs.

Five drivers withdrew from the pole position battle after the first segment: Franco Colapinto (Argentina, Alpine), Nico Hülkenberg (Germany, Sauber), Esteban Ocon (France, Haas), Pierre Gasly (France, Alpine), and Alex Albon (Thailand, Williams).

Lando Norris of the McLaren team set the fastest time in the first session.

Fifteen drivers will continue to fight for pole position in the second segment.
