The UK welcomes the ban on the import, production, and sale of single-use plastic mixing rods, forks, knives, spoons, plates, and cups in Azerbaijan from July 1, Report informs, citing the British Embassy in Baku.
“Great news! Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste escapes into the oceans. We must collectively protect our environment by reducing, reusing, and recycling. Together we can make a change,” Ambassador James Sharp said.
Since July 1, Azerbaijan has banned importing, producing, and using disposable plastic spoons, forks, knives, plates, and cups.
