Russian President recalls ambassador from Azerbaijan

Baku. 27 November. REPORT.AZ/ Russian President Vladimir Putin released Vladimir Dorokhin from the duties of Russia's ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Azerbaijan.

Report informs referring to the RIA Novosti.

"To relieve Dorokhin Vladimir Dmitrievich from the duties of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, document says.

Notably, Vladimir Dorokhin was appointed Russian ambassador to Azerbaijan by Russian presidential decree dated February 24, 2009.

Earlier, Report informed that the State Duma Committee for CIS Affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots supported the candidacy of Georgiy Zuev for the post of Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan.

G. Zuev is the deputy director of the human resources department of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
