Russia's Putin on situation on Azerbaijani-Armenian border, role of tripartite body

"The role of Russian diplomacy in resolving the situation between Azerbaijan and Armenia has increased," Russian President Vladimir Putin told a board meeting of the Foreign Ministry, Report informs.
"The events on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border show that the situation in the region has not calmed down," Putin added.
The Russian president also touched upon the activities of the tripartite commission. In his opinion, the activities of the commission with the participation of the deputy prime ministers promise great prospects.
“The prospects of the work done by the tripartite commission are not bad. Indeed, the countries of the region, including Russia, are interested in long-term solutions to problems."
