Pashinyan's plane passes through Azerbaijani airspace for first time on foreign visit

On August 30, the plane of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan flew abroad through the airspace of Azerbaijan and returned on the night of September 6, Prime Minister's Spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan said, Report informs referring to Novosti-Armenia.
"After the establishment of peace in Washington on August 8, the relevant bodies of Armenia appealed to Azerbaijan with a request for air transit for the prime minister's plane and received a positive response. We consider this fact as a practical step towards unblocking communications in the region, promoting the peace agenda, and creating an atmosphere of mutual trust. Azerbaijani planes have been using Armenian airspace for a long time to ensure communication between the main part of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic," she wrote.
