Green public spaces make cities more livable, Amna Abu Sharar, head of the planning department at the Al-Bireh Municipality in Palestine, said at a discussion at WUF13 in Baku, Report informs.
According to her, green spaces are extremely important in the Palestinian urban environment.
"These spaces make cities more livable and inclusive. They improve quality of life, strengthen social integration, enhance public health and community resilience, and reduce environmental impacts," Abu Sharar said.
