New French ambassador vows to strengthen ties with Azerbaijan

France's newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Sophie Lagoutte, has expressed her intention to contribute to the development of Azerbaijan–France relations.
According to Report, the diplomat shared her remarks on X following a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.
Lagoutte stated that she is officially beginning her mission to enhance bilateral ties between France and Azerbaijan.
"Following my first meeting with Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, I am ready to work toward these goals with the entire team at the French Embassy, the French Institute in Azerbaijan, and everyone involved in maintaining relations between our two countries," she emphasized.
