Kubanychbek Omuraliev arrives in Azerbaijan

Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, arrived in Azerbaijan on April 1, Report informs via AZERTAC.

The OTS Secretary General was welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by Gursel Ismayilzada, Director for Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus, and Western and Central Asia at Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, along with other officials.

Earlier, Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Unal Ustel, had also begun his visit to Azerbaijan.

On April 2, 2026, Baku will host the second meeting of the heads of government/vice presidents of the OTS member states. The first meeting took place last September in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
