Georgia thanks Azerbaijan for support

Georgia thanked Azerbaijan for its support in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Report says, President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili posted the message of gratitude on Twitter.

"Tonight, the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku is lit up in the colors of the Georgian flag. Thank you for this show of support. A great show of solidarity from the Azerbaijani people. We are stronger together."

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani also expressed his gratitude.

"Thank you to Azerbaijan for sending us a powerful message of support by lighting up the Heydar Aliyev Square in the colors of the Georgian flag. There is no better way to victory than by extending helping hands to each other."

Since April 3, flags change daily following the order of the first letter of the country name in the English alphabet. Thus, the Heydar Aliyev Center expresses support and respect to the states and their peoples affected by the spread of COVID-19.

Notably, Heydar Aliyev Center has displayed the flags of China, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Spain, Russia, Turkey, and the UK as a symbol of Azerbaijan's solidarity with the countries where the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is widespread.
