French ambassador presents copy of credentials to Azerbaijani FM Bayramov

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with France's newly appointed ambassador to Azerbaijan, Sophie Lagoutte, Report informs.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ambassador presented a copy of her credentials to the minister during the meeting.

Bayramov congratulated Lagoutte on her appointment and wished her success in her diplomatic mission.

The meeting included discussions on the current state of bilateral and multilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France, as well as regional and international issues.

The two also exchanged views on the causes of the recent crisis in Azerbaijan-France relations. Despite existing challenges, both sides underlined the importance of maintaining dialogue and continuing discussions.

Bayramov also briefed Ambassador Lagoutte on the post-conflict situation in the region and the ongoing Azerbaijan–Armenia normalization process.

The ambassador expressed gratitude for the meeting and emphasized her commitment to strengthening relations between the two countries during her tenure.

Other issues of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
