Azerbaijani MPs meet British MP Bob Blackman

Members of the Milli Majlis working group on interparliamentary relations with the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland have met with British MP Bob Blackman, head of the interparliamentary friendship group with Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the Press and Public Relations Department of the Milli Majlis.

Fariz Ismayilzada, head of the working group, said relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom had risen to the level of strategic partnership. Speaking about the current state and prospects of political and economic ties between the two countries, he also touched on opportunities to expand cooperation in education and artificial intelligence.

During the conversation, Samad Seyidov, chairman of the parliamentary Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Ties, expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of continuing contacts and exchanges of views between lawmakers, as well as further developing mutually beneficial cooperation within international parliamentary organizations.

British MP Bob Blackman thanked the Azerbaijani side for its hospitality and praised the meetings and discussions held during his visit. The meeting also noted the important role of parliamentary diplomacy and reciprocal visits in developing bilateral relations.

Members of the working group Sevil Mikayilova, Azay Guliyev, Tural Ganjaliyev and Zaur Shukurov also spoke at the meeting and shared their views on prospects for further developing relations between the two countries.
