Azerbaijani FM receives Slovak ambassador as diplomatic term concludes

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Slovak Ambassador to Baku Milan Lajčák on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic mission, Report informs, referring to the Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current issues of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Slovakia, as well as the current situation in the region and the world.
The ambassador was thanked for his efforts in developing Azerbaijan-Slovakia bilateral and multilateral cooperation during his tenure in Azerbaijan, and he was wished success in his future activities.
The importance of mutual visits and contacts, as well as the use of the political consultation mechanism in the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation was noted.
The parties noted the usefulness of the meeting between the leaders of the two countries during the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Azerbaijan last year, as well as the exchanges of views between the foreign ministers within the framework of various international events.
They also stressed that there are broad prospects for cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, science, culture, etc. Moreover, the importance of continuing mutual exchanges of views and activities in this direction was highlighted.
Lajčák, in turn, expressed his gratitude for the support and warm reception during his tenure in Azerbaijan and conveyed his wishes for the further development of Azerbaijan-Slovakia relations.
During the meeting, other issues of mutual interest were also discussed.
