Azerbaijani Deputy FM attends 20th Bled Strategic Forum

Azerbaijan's Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev visited Slovenia to participate in the 20th Bled Strategic Forum, Report informs, citing Azerbaijan"s Foreign Ministry.

During the forum, the deputy minister spoke at panel discussions dedicated to the current international situation prevailing in the world.

In his speech, Rzayev discussed the historic agreements reached during the Washington summit held on August 8, 2025, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process and peace agenda. He underscored the importance of stability in the region.

The deputy minister highlighted Azerbaijan's contribution to the energy security of European countries, drew attention to large-scale energy and transport projects implemented with Azerbaijan's participation. He provided information about Azerbaijan's important role in the creation and operation of international transport routes such as the Middle Corridor.

During the panel discussions, Azerbaijan's successful hosting and chairmanship of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change was discussed, along with the achievements and decisions made on many long-awaited issues within the COP29 framework.

A number of bilateral working meetings were also held during the visit.
