Azerbaijan, US discuss Strategic Partnership Charter

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov met with Sonata Coulter, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and co-chair of the US-Azerbaijan Strategic Working Group, to discuss prospects for cooperation within the framework of the US-Azerbaijan Strategic Partnership Charter, expansion of economic ties, energy security, regional connectivity and other issues of mutual interest.

Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides emphasized the importance of strengthening the strategic partnership and noted that the first meeting of the Azerbaijan-US Economic Dialogue, to be held in Baku on June 2, would make an additional contribution to the development of bilateral cooperation.

In addition, the meeting expressed the intention to continue dialogue on deepening economic and trade ties, expanding cooperation in energy and transport, as well as promoting regional stability and prosperity.
