Azerbaijan, Türkiye discuss expanding justice cooperation

Azerbaijani Justice Minister Farid Ahmadov has met with his Turkish counterpart, Akın Gürlek, to discuss expanding cooperation.
Report informs, citing the Justice Ministry, that Ahmadov emphasized the successful development of brotherly and allied relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in all areas. He noted the importance of cooperation based on mutual trust and support.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state of and prospects for developing cooperation in the field of justice. It was noted that mutual visits, signed documents and joint mechanisms had made a significant contribution to strengthening ties in recent years.
The sides emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in areas such as legal assistance, penitentiary and probation systems, the introduction of digital solutions, exchange of experience and personnel training.
The meeting also noted that joint projects and multilateral cooperation mechanisms within the Organization of Turkic States contribute to strengthening integration in the legal sphere.
The sides exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
