Azerbaijan and Morocco are planning to strengthen collaboration in employment, vocational training, and labor market development, Moroccan Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, said at the Executive Council meeting of the Islamic Labor Center held in Baku, Report informs.
He noted that the two countries enjoy strong and friendly ties, with the visa-free regime encouraging active tourism exchange.
Sekkouri stressed the importance of joint efforts among Islamic countries to adapt to digital and climate changes and to prepare young people for the evolving demands of the labor market.
"Our focus should be on building a flexible labor market, advancing vocational education, and unlocking the economic potential of youth," he said.
Highlighting Morocco's tourism potential, the minister noted that the country is just 14 kilometers from Europe and is set to co-host the FIFA World Cup in 2030.
"We share ambitions with Azerbaijan, one of the region's and the world's key players. President Ilham Aliyev has signed numerous agreements that have elevated the country's regional profile. In many ways, we are comparable nations in terms of dynamism, geopolitical leadership, and strategic positioning," Sekkouri added.
