The successful implementation of sustainable development standards is impossible without close collaboration between the government, business, and civil society, Aygun Aliyeva, Executive Director of the Agency for State Support to NGOs of Azerbaijan, said at an event held as part of WUF13, Report informs.
According to her, the Agency for State Support to NGOs of Azerbaijan performs a coordinating function, supporting urban development projects through transparent grant mechanisms and strengthening interactions between the government and civil society.
"This approach contributes to the formation of a more effective multilateral model of sustainable development. Therefore, the successful implementation of the Sustainable Practices Standard will largely depend on the coordinated cooperation of government institutions, the private sector, academia, and civil society, as well as the existence of effective monitoring and accountability mechanisms," Aliyeva emphasized.
