Amanul Haq: Azerbaijan and Bangladesh prepare for reciprocal embassy openings

Azerbaijan and Bangladesh are preparing to open embassies in each other’s capitals, Baku and Dhaka, Amanul Haq, Bangladesh’s Ankara-based ambassador to Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Georgia, and Turkmenistan, told Report’s Turkish bureau.

According to Haq, the consultation phase on bilateral relations across various fields has been completed:

"We have finalized discussions on political, economic, trade, financial, and diplomatic matters. The negotiations involved deputy foreign ministers from both Bangladesh and Azerbaijan," he said.

The ambassador also noted that agreements covering these areas were signed following the talks:

"The next step is to begin implementing these agreements. I hope these processes will be carried out soon, including the reciprocal opening of embassies in our countries."
