Al Saadi: Resilience is no longer a competitive advantage

Resilience to crises is no longer a competitive advantage but has become a prerequisite for the survival of companies operating in the halal industry.

According to Report, this was stated by Ameen Al Saadi, Chief Investment Officer of Halal Products Development Company, said at a forum on the development of the halal economy held as part of the Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group in Baku.

According to him, recent global crises have demonstrated that disruptions in one part of the world can affect companies and markets worldwide. As a result, businesses need to integrate resilience mechanisms into their development strategies in advance.

Al Saadi noted that one of the key factors of resilience is the diversification of supply chains and sales markets, which helps minimize the impact of potential crises and disruptions.

He also emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships among investors, lenders, suppliers and manufacturers, as well as effective corporate governance.

"When a company truly adheres to ethical and halal principles, it becomes more resilient because it builds its operations on trust, integrity and long-term sustainability," he said.
