Ecuador defeated Germany at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
According to Report, in the Group E third‑round match held at the New York/New Jersey stadium, the South American side celebrated a 2–1 victory.
Nilson Angulo (9') and Gonzalo Plata (78') scored for Ecuador, while Germany's only goal came in the 2nd minute from Leroy Sané.
Despite the loss, Germany finished the group stage as leaders with 6 points.
