Robert Lewandowski, the player of the Polish national team and the Spanish side Barcelona, was chosen as the best player of the first matchday of the UEFA Champions League group stage, Report informs, citing UEFA’s official website.
The 34-year-old forward has surpassed all his rivals in the vote among the fans.
He scored a hat trick against the Czech club Viktoria Plzen in the match.
In the voting, Lewandowski beat Leroy Sane from his former team Bayern Munich, Kylian Mbappe from PSG his compatriot from Napoli, Piotr Zelinski.
In the match where Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick, Barcelona defeated Viktoria by 5:1. Earlier, the Czech team eliminated Qarabagh from the Champions League.
