Forty-two teams confirmed for 2026 World Cup finals

A total of 42 national teams have officially secured their places at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, Report informs.
The most recent nations to qualify for the tournament's final stage are Curaçao, Panama and Haiti.
Alongside the host nations, several teams from Asia, Oceania, South America, Africa and Europe have also booked their spots. These include Japan, New Zealand, Iran, Uzbekistan, Australia, South Korea, Jordan, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Ecuador, Colombia, Paraguay, as well as Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Algeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, South Africa, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
European contenders confirmed for the competition are England, France, Croatia, Norway, Portugal, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, Scotland, Spain, Austria and Belgium.
The 2026 World Cup will feature an expanded format with 48 teams and will take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026.
