Azerbaijan posts 34% increase in non-cash payments

In 2020, the total volume of payment card transactions in Azerbaijan grew 26% compared to 2019, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, the total volume of non-cash payments rose by 34%.
During the reporting period, the number of transactions carried out in the country through e-commerce increased by 55%. Its volume went up 22%. The number and volume of contactless payments exceeded the previous year's indicators by 4.3 and 5.4 times, respectively.
