Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan plan statistics cooperation memorandum in 2026

Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan are planning to sign a memorandum of cooperation in the field of statistics in 2026, Report informs, Director of Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency Behzod Khamrayev told Report on the sidelines of the 3rd International Statistics Forum held in Baku.

He noted that this year, the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan and the Uzbek Statistics Agency began drafting a new memorandum.

"The draft is currently being coordinated at the institutional level in both countries. We plan to sign the memorandum next year, opening new areas of cooperation," Khamrayev said.

The planned areas include the use of artificial intelligence, development of analytical research and big data capacity, integration with ministries and agencies, exchange of experience, and the implementation of new joint projects of mutual relevance.
