Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan to deepen insurance cooperation

Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan plan to increase knowledge and data exchange in the insurance sector and strengthen collaboration through a unified data system, Oybek Khalilov, Chairman of the Association of Participants of Uzbekistan's Professional Insurance Market, told journalists during the first Assembly of the Turkic World Insurance Union in Shusha, Report informs.

He noted that aligning insurance assessment rules with unified principles is also planned, which will create broad opportunities for cooperation among insurance companies across the Turkic world.

Khalilov recalled that since 2022, Uzbekistan, Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan have implemented several joint initiatives. He emphasized the historic significance of the official establishment of the insurance associations' union in Shusha:

"This event in Shusha is very important for us. A historic moment is happening - all Turkic states are gathered here. Heads of state and governments have held meetings in this location in previous years, and now we are here to foster cooperation in the insurance sector."
