US Int'l Development Finance Corporation interested in co-op with Azerbaijan

The US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) is interested in financing Azerbaijan's banking sector, Toghrul Aliyev, Director General of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), said at a press conference, Report informs.
"The visit of representatives of the DFC to our country was held in May 2024. The corporation has already started the implementation of the financing project with one of the Azerbaijani banks. The process has now moved into the formalization phase," the director general noted.
"The DFC has seriously supported the development of the correspondent banking relationship of our banks. One of the Azerbaijani banks recently opened a correspondent account in the US," he added.
