The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) eagerly anticipates the implementation of new projects in Azerbaijan, Muhammad Al Jasser, president of the Islamic Development Bank Group, told journalists, Report informs.
"It was a great honor for me to visit the liberated territories yesterday. I visited Fuzuli, Khankandi, and Shusha-these are stunningly picturesque places. I visited Shusha two years ago, but now the city has been transformed beyond recognition. The pace of development, the renovation of infrastructure, and the restoration of significant sites, including mosques, are very impressive.
The new mosque in Shusha, once completed, will undoubtedly become a true landmark," the IsDB president stated.
Al Jasser emphasized that the IsDB delegation received very detailed and impressive explanations during the visit. "I am leaving for Jeddah with wonderful impressions from this visit. Shusha is regaining its status as the cultural capital of Azerbaijan.
We also visited the industrial zone and met with business representatives. They demonstrated great enthusiasm for the country's potential for economic growth and development. Our presence here is motivated, among other things, by our desire to reaffirm the Islamic Development Bank's commitment to Azerbaijan. We look forward to implementing new projects here in Azerbaijan, as this is a country with enormous potential.
This is a country whose leadership is guiding it along an accelerated path of development. It is home to ambitious young people, well-educated and sincerely devoted to their homeland and its future. Therefore, I wish Azerbaijan, its president, people, and government all the best, and I look forward to meeting you in June when the annual meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group takes place in Baku," the IsDB president added.
