ICPC thanks Azerbaijan for hosting world finals in Baku

ICPC has expressed gratitude to the government of Azerbaijan for hosting the World Finals of the Olympiad, which brought together talented young programmers from all over the world, Report informs.

President of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) Foundation Bill Poucher noted the special role of Azerbaijan in organizing the event at the opening ceremony of the 49th ICPC World Finals in Baku.

According to him, this year, 63,294 students participated in the ICPC regional workshops, challenges, and boot camps. They were supported by 10,573 coaches and assistants from 3,307 universities in 93 countries. The preparation resulted in the formation of 141 teams of the best young programmers, who gathered in Baku to compete for the title of the strongest.

"We thank President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan for his leadership and vision in hosting the ICPC World Alliance in this wonderful country. Special thanks go to ADA University under the leadership of Rector Hafiz Pashayev for creating an inspiring academic environment," Poucher added.
