Fitch: Fed's raising rates will not directly affect Azerbaijani manat

Baku. 16 March. REPORT.AZ/ Decision adopted by US Federal Reserve System (Fed) yesterday on increase in interest rates will not directly affect the exchange rate of Azerbaijani manat.
Report informs, Fitch international rating agency stated.
According to agency, raising interest rates can only create a psychological pressure: "Only if there is a substantial change in oil prices, it may play a role in formation of the exchange rate."
Notably, yesterday Fed has raised discount rate by 0,75-1,00%.
