CBA: Repeated debiting of funds in AzeriCard system not related to cyberattacks

The issue with repeated debiting from the accounts of clients of several banks participating in the Azericard LLC system in Azerbaijan is not related to cyberattacks or fraud, but rather arose due to technical issues, Report informs referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
"We inform the public that no difficulties related to stability, sustainability, or reliability have been observed in the operation of the CBA's payment systems, as well as the information systems and payment infrastructure of processing centers and commercial banks operating in the country," the statement reads.
The technical issue has already been resolved.
Banking clients are advised to rely solely on information from official sources.
