BNY Mellon, Azerbaijan discuss expanding AI use in financial sector

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has discussed the expansion of artificial intelligence applications in the country's financial markets with representatives from the Bank of New York Mellon (BNY Mellon), Report informs, citing the the CBA.
CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov met with a delegation led by BNY Mellon's Senior Executive Vice President Hani Kablawi during their visit to Azerbaijan.
The meeting focused on the development prospects of Azerbaijan's financial markets and payment systems, current trends in capital markets, the broader application of artificial intelligence, and the enhancement of cybersecurity measures.
The sides also discussed priority areas under the 2024–2026 Financial Sector Development Strategy of the CBA and explored opportunities for future cooperation.
