Bank customers up over 1M in 2022

As of October 1 this year, the customer base of Azerbaijan's banking sector was 13.341 million people, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

This is 166,000 people or 1.3% more than on a monthly basis, 1.16 million or 9.5% more than on January 1, and 1.338 million or 11.2% more than on October 1 last year.

99% of customers or 3.208 million people are individuals, and 1% or 133 thousand people are legal entities. In September, the number of individuals increased by 1.3% or 164 thousand people, and the number of legal entities increased by 1.5% or 2 thousand people.

By the end of September, the number of customer accounts reached 30.829 million, which is 624,000 or 2.1% more than the month, 4,241 million or 13,9% more than the beginning of the year, and 1,929 million or 6,7% more than last year.
