Azerbaijan, Uganda discuss agricultural cooperation prospects

Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, Ilhama Gadimova, met with a delegation led by Uganda's Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, John Mulimba, Report informs, citing the ministry.
Welcoming the delegation, Deputy Minister Gadimova provided a detailed overview of Azerbaijan's agricultural sector, including the current state of affairs and state support mechanisms for agriculture. She emphasized Azerbaijan's interest in developing agricultural cooperation with partner countries, just as it does in other areas.
During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for collaboration in agriculture, the exchange of information on high-potential export products, increasing trade turnover in agricultural and food products, expanding ties between entrepreneurs, and other relevant topics.
Minister Mulimba highlighted Uganda's friendly relations with Azerbaijan and expressed interest in enhancing cooperation across all sectors. He noted the strong potential for expanding collaboration in agriculture. Both sides expressed mutual interest in deepening agricultural partnerships.
A broad exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
