Azerbaijan's foreign exchange reserves show slight annual increase

As of January 1, 2021, Azerbaijan's foreign exchange reserves amounted to over $49.9 billion, Report informs.
Of these, over $43.56 billion or 87.2% fall on the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), while the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) accounted for almost $6.37 billion or 12.8%.
In the last quarter of 2021, the country's foreign exchange reserves increased by $153.7 million or 0.3%.
Foreign exchange reserves of SOFAZ increased by $275.7 million or 0.6%, while the CBA saw a decrease of $122 million or 1.9%.
Over the past year, the volume of foreign exchange reserves increased by $352.4 million or 0.7%. The reserves of SOFAZ showed an annual increase of $241 million or 0.6%, while the CBA reserves went up by $111.4 million or 1.8%.
