Azerbaijan’s Customs Committee develops mechanism for customs revenue collection

The State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan has developed an electronic notification system and a mechanism for releasing goods based on guarantees for revenue collection, SCC Chairman Shahin Baghirov said at the Customs-Business Forum held in Baku today, Report informs.
"In line with international standards for revenue collection, methodological guidelines, an electronic notification system, and a mechanism for releasing goods based on guarantees have been developed," Baghirov emphasized.
According to him, collections, customs duties, and taxes accounted for 18% of the state budget in 2023 and 5.2% of GDP: "Customs revenues in budget receipts showed a 12.4% increase in 2023 compared to 2022."
